"Labubus" in food forms will launch this week, Gustaf Westman announces a pop-up tour, a chance to get your wedding officiated by Hellman's mascot - Manny Mayo, & lots of forking around.

Pop Mart presents: The Monsters Wacky Mart Series (aka Labubu for us n00bs cause upon quick googling apparently there’s a whole family tree and Labubu is just one character of The Monsters line but I don’t care lolz). It was only a matter of time before Labubu/Pop Mart/The Monsters/whatever tf you call it came for the comestibles and as much as I’ve been numb to the craze thus far, even I have to admit there are some cuties in this series. I can’t help it, give something a food angle and I’m all in . . . it’s really a weakness. Anyways, there are 12 collectible figures that cover most of the important food groups (lolz) - Onigiri, Salad, Sandwich, Chow Mein, Yakitori, Canned Sardines, Milk, Cup Noodles, Chips, Corn, Grilled Sausage, and Fried Shrimp with a bonus 13th secret edition figure known as the “Microwave Oven” edition in which you have a probability of 1/144 of getting. The collection also wields a handful of other themed accessories like a pillow, an “earphone case”, and more.
According to the Pop Mart website, this collection launches on Friday, June 13th at 4:00:00 but I have no idea what time zone that is and how it even works. Now, apparently “Popmart introduced a lifetime purchase limit of 6 LABUBUS per series, per customer, on June 3rd, 2025.” (I can’t find the original news source but I assure you, it’s a thing and people are outraged.) All I can say is, may the odds ever be in your favor.
Gustaf Westman is going on a pop-up tour and is doing it “European Summer” style with stops in Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam, and Madrid. Exact deets about the pop-ups are yet to be unveiled but if it’s anything like previous ones, you’ll be able to buy some signature chunky pieces like the Chunky Plate, the Chunky Cup, and more along with perhaps some pop-up exclusives. This tour announcement comes hot off the heels of news that Westman will be releasing a collaboration with Ikea later this year. I’m excited!
If you didn’t already know about Forks Plus, now you do and you’re welcome!
These forking stunning cutlery sets are designed by Kelsey Fairhurst and limited quantities are available. Pre-Order is open until Thursday, June 12th.I’d be stocking up on the 5 Piece Set in the Butter color if I wasn’t poor but alas, I am so, to my Pinterest they go.
KFC (UK & Ireland) presents: the “Finger Lickin’ Fork”— a bespoke, silver, hand-shaped utensil handcrafted by jeweller Sam Ozanne. This fork is the byproduct of fans complaining about how KFC Rice Bowls are too messy to be enjoyed the “Finger Lickin’ Good” way. Selected fans were apparently gifted these forks via social media. I’m telling you, UK marketing is superior.
The third brief of MOLD Magazine’s Food Tools Design Club has been announced. The Club is “a series of monthly open design calls that invite the MOLD community to experiment, play, and submit designs for food tools.” See words by Lily Consuelo Saporta Tagiuri below:
“For the third open call in our Food Tool Design Club series, you are invited to design a tool for lighting food. Light can dramatically change our experience of eating and even impact the taste of the food. From the warm glow of candelabras, to the glare of fluorescent food hall lighting, light sets the mood and determines the way we feel around food. Think lamps, candles, a heating bulb for keeping food warm, a light to advertise food, a way to capture the heat of the sun to cook food, a camping flashlight, etc.! Some questions you can consider as you brainstorm your design: What food is being lit? What is the emotion the lighting might inspire? What is the material dialogue between your light and its setting? What is the light source? Could you design a light that isn’t electrical? How does your tool make the food more or less appetizing? Please submit your design here by June 18 including:
1-3 images of your tool (1 on a neutral background)
2-3 Sentences describing your tool
Medium (No AI please!)
Your name
Social media handle or link to work”
And just in case you weren’t familiar, MOLD is a critically-acclaimed print and online magazine about designing the future of food.
Longchamp just released a leather (French) Toast bag as part of the Épure collection and honestly, she kinda cute. The bag “celebrates the art of baking with a playful nod to the charm of freshly toasted bread” but I don’t think we really care what “inspiration” or origin story their PR team whipped up as long as it’s cute and uncontroversial, lolz. Oh, and she’s already sold out. :(
Le Food Market (Paris’ first street food market combining high and low cuisines) is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a “Mini Mart” pop-up from July 4-6 with exclusives by chefs Sho Miyashita (recently in NYC as part of We Are Ona’s WSA popup) and Jordan Moilim, shoppable objects from Maison Vivant, a chicory latte collab by Cherico x Oatly, limited edition anniversary goodies, and more.
“Say “I Dip” in Las Vegas” lollllz. “Ahead of National Chicken Tender Day on July 27, Hellmann's will host a dip-inspired wedding at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. Couples can now enter for a chance to win by submitting their story and application here by June 20*.”
“One winning couple will be selected to tie the knot at the iconic wedding chapel on July 21. Hellmann's unforgettable wedding experience includes:A ceremony officiated by Hellmann's very own mascot, Manny Mayo.
A reception featuring chicken tender towers and endless Hellmann's Chicken Tender Dips.
A professional photographer to capture every tender loving moment.
A $5,000 stipend to cover travel expenses.”
I don’t think I need to add anything else to this.
Cheez-It x Wendy’s announce the Wendy’s Baconator Cheez-It as of today (I think) and it’s already sold out. I swear, with the amount of times I mention Cheez-It and KFC on The Cakewalk you’d think I’d get a little more love from them. If anyone has a contact at either, PLZ SEND MY WAY. ;_;
Heinz UK sent some love to Chris Hughes in the form of two Heinz Hoops necklaces (one for him, one for JOJO SIWA?! - the card even says so). I guess he’s a loyal Heinz Hoops fan or something? Someone introduce him to Spaghetti-O’s? And if you’re asking who Chris Hughes is, apparently he’s Jojo Siwa’s new controversial boyfriend who’s been on Celebrity Big Brother and Love Island. And if you’re asking who Jojo Siwa is, well, I’m deeply envious of you. Anyways, was any of this worth including in Le Scoop? No, lolz but I wouldn’t be doing my self-imposed job of feeding you with food-related pop culture “news” and “hot goss” if I had kept this from you. . . (sometimes I hate it here).
