JW Anderson's egg-citing debut at Dior, Heinz Mustaaaaaard just dropped, Gucci brought the jiggle in their latest campaign, Picklesburgh 2025 is here, & Le Scoop on 3 different types of ice cream news




Gucci’s latest campaign for their GG Marmont bags are completely Cakewalk coded and created by none other than Bompas & Parr — the glorious creative masterminds behind, let’s be honest, most of the exquisite jelly projects (and so much more) out there. What came first, the chicken or the JW Anderson egg. . .? It’s Fashun Weak in Paris again and J Dubs’ first show invitation for Dior is a porcelain egg trompe l’oeil plate. As jealous as I am of those who received this invitation, I can’t help but think of how it bears an uncanny resemblance to Tiffany & Co’s Vintage Egg Trompe L’œil Plate with Este Ceramiche. . . I mean, I’m sure neither party was the first to have created a trompe l’oeil egg plate but STILL. And don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of JW Anderson’s application of foods to his work but are we just going to see a transference of things like the “Loewe Tomato” to Dior now? I guess we’ll find out soon enough, the first show is on Friday. Hope he didn’t put all his eggs in one basket.
Tinder presents “RelationChips” and honestly, I’m obsessed. Unfortunately, I was late on reporting this as the news was announced towards the beginning of June and the website is no longer active BUT, it was still worth bringing to your attention, because that’s what I do. The chips were free if you could bag one from the website and each one had a QR code that gave you 1 free week of Tinder Gold - their premium tier. This campaign was thought up by creative ad agency, Mischief. Wish I snagged one.
The Mustard x Mustard collab has finally dropped! The what x the what you ask? Lolz. Kraft Heinz teamed up with Grammy Award-winning hip-hop producer Mustard to give us "Heinz MUSTAAAAAARD” - a smoky-and-sweet chipotle honey mustard.
But why is this culturally relevant and a move of epic pop culture proportions? Bear with me here — Kendrick Lamar and Drake have beef and their condiment of choice is mustard. . . you know that much right? (Good cause that’s about as much as I know too lolz.) Well maybe you’ve seen the viral “Mustard” memes related to Lamar and/or perhaps you’ve heard the iconic line from his song, “tv off”. Look, I’ve been googling for ages and I still can’t boil down the story for you in an eloquent way so you’ll just have to read about the Kendrick Lamar/Mustard lore HERE. The point is, thanks to Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Mustard himself, the condiment we all know and love is now also a pop culture reference and Heinz has capitalized on the moment. We love to see a relevant marketing move. As of yesterday, the sauce is available to try for a limited time at Buffalo Wild Wings but will soon be hitting shelves this summer so stay tuned.
Picklesburgh 2025 (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is almost here, and this year also happens to be the 10th anniversary! And in case you haven’t yet figured out what Picklesburgh is — it’s the “destination for all things pickled”. This year’s celebrations go from July 11-13th and admission is totally free - no tix necessary. I don’t have too many details but judging from photos in their gallery and also social media coverage from past years, you’ll find everything from pickle beer to pickle chocolate fudge, pickle cannolis and SO much more. This event is kind of a big dill and you’re gonna wanna relish the moment. :)
Monte’s Fine Foods partnered up with The M Jewelers to open Caffe Monte on Mulberry Street in SoHo, NY. That’s Monte’s + M Jewelers = Mulberry. What can I say, the Sauce Boss strikes again in his quest to take over the world with Monte’s Fine Foods - one collab at a time. You can count on a menu focused on Italian programming and Monte’s will also use the space as an innovation testing ground - dropping new, limited edition food products and merchandise at the cafe before launching more widely or rolling out to retailers. Monte’s and M Jewelers also plan to roll out a line of pasta-inspired jewelry together in the coming months (which I’m pretty stoked for) so stay tuned! Caffeine, carb loading, & custom chains (or jewelry in general but I had to keep up with the alliteration), this is my Roman Empire.
Fresh out of the oven — literally and figuratively — Sweet Loren’s x Hello Kitty teamed up to launch a new limited-edition Birthday Cake cookie dough as of this past Tuesday with a completely artificial dye-free recipe using natural ingredients like veggie juice and Spirulina. And for those with an allergy—fear not, Sweet Loren’s is free of the top 14 allergens so whether you’re gluten free, lactose intolerant, allergic to peanuts, or some other thing that I don’t envy, you’re golden. Van Leeuwen x Maren Morris bring us a Limited Edition Dreamsicle flavor — available in scoop shops only. Dreamsicle is aptly named after Morris’ most recent album all while capitalizing on the flavor trend that just won’t go away lolz. In case you forgot, last year’s collab was with Sabrina Carpenter for an Espresso flavor. What’s your song and flavor of the summer?
And in other Van Leeuwen news, the first-ever Van Leeuwen Flavor Lab has recently soft opened in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The grand opening will be in late July but apparently you can already check it out complete with soft opening deals and there’s even such a thing as “Lab Flavor Saturdays” where I guess you can try new flavors and give feedback? I scream, you scream, yadda yadda.




Coucou Paris - Zélikha Dinga aka Caro Diario is back for a third year of gelato slinging and this time it’s at the Musée de la Nature et de la Chasse in the Marais. Catch her from June 26th-July 13th with flavors such as Sicilian Pistachio, Piémont Hazelnut, Fior di Latte, and Dark Chocolate. And considering the ongoing string of heat waves, this is a necessary pit stop for summer survival.
Smize & shiiine Australia, Sydney just got a new ice cream shop called SMiZE & DREAM opened by none other than. . . Miz Tyra Banks?? Lollllz. The ice cream shop (I can’t with the name) is a love letter to her mom, Mama Carolyn. Here’s what they have to say about themselves:

Lolz. Did the world need an ice cream shop opened by Tyra Banks? Probably not. But I love ice cream and I love my mom so I can’t hate on her for opening on that premise. . . IF it’s not just marketing. With that said, some of the flavors do so sound pretty good - see Matcha Mochi Dough-Chi & Mama Carolyn’s Favorite.
