Cheez-It branded bucket hats, EOS x Blue Moon, Cup Noodles got us in a pickle, Capri Sun doing 15-inch long things, and could a Spritz with THC be the official drink of summer?
Cheez-It dropped a branded bucket hat just in time for summer, shop it HERE for $20. Logomania may have sort of come and gone in the fashion world but let me tell you, in the world of CPG merch, it’s as hot as EVER. Come to mama.
Top two images courtesy of @highsnobiety and bottom two from @dara.nazaryan In additional Cheez-It news, it would appear that High Snobiety x Cheez-It is a thing, with a series called “Pulse Check” that’s “powered by Cheez-It” that dives into basketball's rich history and enduring impact. Seems like last night was one instalment of their 5 part series with a panel featuring Miami Heat’s Josh Christopher, Rickea Jackson of the Los Angeles Sparks, (Sports) Celebrity Stylist DexRob, and Stylist/Designer Brittany Hampton. Let me just say, I TOO would like to be “powered by Cheez-It”.
Also . . . do you think that if I continue to mention Cheez-It in every Cakewalk send-out from now until the end of the year, someone from the Kellanova team will finally notice me? PLZ, I LOVE YOU.images courtesy of Cann Cann is puttin’ on the SPRITZ but in true signature Cann fashion, with a touch of THC. If you’re not already familiar, Cann is a THC beverage brand that focuses on all natural ingredients and high times (literally) lolz. Their brand spankin’ new Spritz (launched just yesterday, and the first of its’ kind) clocks in at 3.5mg of THC per serving which is just a smidge more than your standard microdose (2.5mg). Sounds like a pretty lit summer if you ask me! You can buy Cann’s Spritz Bottle HERE but click responsibly — this one delivers a serious contact high. Lolllllz.
In yet another collab that I don’t think anyone could’ve dreamt up—except the brands themselves— EOS has teamed up with Blue Moon to give us a Limited Edition Valencia Orange Lip Balm shaped like an orange?! (Also I may or may not have just learned that EOS stands for Evolution of Smooth upon going to their website for this write-up lolz.) Just a few week’s ago, Burt’s Bees x Mike’s Hot Honey gave us a “Sweet & Spicy” Lip Balm, now this? Whut’s next. . . exciting times in the lip balm marketing world I guess.
Last summer Cup Noodles gave us a “Campfire S’Mores” flavor and this year, we get “Dill Pickle”. I’m telling you, Pickle Girl Summer is coming for Tomato Girl Summer’s crown. Last year’s flavor is honestly still beyond me but this one, just makes sense. Honestly, it sounds DILL-icious lolz. Available for a limited time only at retailers like Walmart, Albertson’s, and more starting on June 21st. I love that so many brands are celebrating Summer Solstice these days albeit in their own weird little ways. Get it HERE!
In other Summer Solstice themed releases, just this week, Capri-Sun dropped a 15-inch long, 20 oz pouch of juice. . . No, this isn’t AI‑generated. And no, it’s not a belated April Fool’s prank. It’s already sold out—because apparently just as many people said “should I call him?” as “I need this.”
San Francisco friends - ICYMI, Bi-Rite Creamery has teamed up with the dynamic duo behind Shuggie’s - Kayla Abe and David Murphy (also friends of The Cakewalk) for a killer ice cream collab - Carrot Cake Extravaganza. If you don’t know Shuggie’s—well, you should—whether it’s because Kayla and David are incredible humans, how freaking fabulous the interiors are, or the fact that their whole concept revolves around fighting food waste by serving up “trash pies” and other wild, delicious creations. (More about trash pies & food waste HERE).
And if you don’t know Bi-Rite Market & Creamery (one of my all-time favorite stops in the city) then well, you don’t know an iconic SF staple known for its curated neighborhood grocery and small-batch ice cream. We’re talking seasonal ingredients, local sourcing, and serious flavor. Past ice cream collabs include a Walnut Baklava Cherry Swirl with another personal and SF fav - Souvla, a Salted Egg & Mulberry Swirl with Chef Brandon Jew of Mr. Jiu’s, a Toasty Ube Sourdough with ANOTHER personal favorite - Rize Up Bakery, and so many other incrEDIBLE SF institutions (and personal favs of mine).I’m a bit late to reporting this one, but it sounds like the flavor is still on Shuggie’s menu and available by the scoop or pint at Bi-Rite locations for a limited time. Here’s hoping they save me a scoop when I’m back in July!
